Alun Radcliffe Davies (1923 - 2003〔(Oxford Index )〕) was a Welsh Anglican priest in the last third of the twentieth century.〔(Telegraph obituary )〕 Davies was born on 6 May 1923 into an ecclesiastical family: his father was the Revd Canon Rhys Hughes Davies.〔Crockford's Clerical Directory 1967-68 p311: London, OUP, 1967〕 He was educated at Cowbridge Grammar School, University College, Cardiff, Keble College, Oxford and St. Michael's College, Llandaff.〔‘DAVIES, Very Rev.
